The Veil Silk Pendant is one of Bold & Panache’s signature designs — a draped silk pendant completed with a hand-stitched signature X and a Houlès tassel. The silhouette is cut and shaped in Poland to our own pattern, drawing on the tradition of draped fabric lighting reimagined through a contemporary sensibility.

Each Veil Silk Pendant is made by hand in our workshops in Poland. The silk is cut and shaped to our own pattern, with seams machine-stitched for strength and finished by hand where they show. The signature X is hand-stitched, the Houlès tassel hand-tied, the brass components turned and assembled individually. A silk trim is finished around each tier — cut and sewn by hand in our own workshops. Subtle irregularities in stitching, drape or patina are the natural mark of handwork — they are what makes every pendant quietly unique.
Each pendant is finished with a tassel by Houlès — the Paris passementerie house founded in 1928. The tassel is hand-tied and attached individually to each pendant.

Available in two diameters, allowing the pendant to be adapted to the scale of the interior:
45 cm diameter: works well above smaller dining tables, over a kitchen island, or as a singular point of light in a more intimate setting.
65 cm diameter: at home in larger rooms, above a generous dining table, or in spaces with high ceilings where the pendant is meant to hold its presence.
Can be styled as a singular statement, or in composition — for example, three 45 cm pendants in a row above a long dining table.
The pendant is mounted on a rigid brass rod — our own construction that holds the pendant firmly in place, without swaying. This gives the pendant a confident, architectural presence and ensures precise alignment.
The total drop of each Veil Silk Pendant — measured from the ceiling to the bottom of the tassel after installation — is customised at order.
The pendant is composed of three visible parts: a brass suspension rod (adjustable from 20 to 90 cm), the silk shade and a decorative brass rosette finished with a bead and tassel (approximately 13 cm). Please specify the desired total drop in the order notes at checkout.

As a general rule, the bottom of the pendant should hang approximately 75–90 cm above a dining table, or leave at least 210 cm of clearance above the floor in an open room. Our team is happy to advise on the ideal drop for your interior — write to us at contact@boldandpanache.com.
If a longer drop is required, we can extend the pendant on request — up to a total drop of 400 cm. The brass rod remains at its maximum length of 90 cm; any additional length is achieved with a suspension cable above the rod, softer in form than the rigid section below.
Bulbs: 3 × E14 (not included). Compatible with standard LED bulbs. Recommended: LED at 2700 K (warm white) — for the warm, even glow the silk was designed to filter.
Control: operated via the wall switch in your interior (no integrated switch on the pendant).
Installation: to be carried out by a qualified electrician. All necessary fittings are included; ceiling junction and wiring are the responsibility of the buyer.
Silk shade: dust gently with a soft brush. Do not use water, soap or chemical cleaners — they can permanently discolour or deform the silk. Silk shades are not suitable for washing or wet cleaning.
Lacquered Brass: dust with a soft cloth. The lacquer protects the surface from oxidation; no further care needed.
Unlacquered Brass: dust with a soft cloth. Patina will develop naturally. To restore the original golden tone, polish with a soft cloth and a brass cleaner. Avoid abrasive sponges.
Antique Patina: dust with a soft cloth. Do not polish — polishing will remove the hand-applied patina. The surface will continue to develop over the years.
Avoid placing the pendant in direct contact with steam (above showers, kettles or stovetops) — moisture can damage both silk and unlacquered brass.
