The Veil Silk Wall Light brings Bold & Panache’s signature draped silk to the wall. Its cream silk shade — hand-stretched over our own frame and finished with a hand-stitched signature X and a Houlès tassel — is made in Poland to our own pattern, drawing on the tradition of draped fabric lighting, reinterpreted in a contemporary way.
Each wall light is designed to be more than a source of light. The silk diffuses the glow softly, creating a warm, subtle light that builds an intimate atmosphere and gives a room its own distinctive character.

Each Veil Silk Wall Light is made by hand in our workshops in Poland. The silk is cut and shaped to our own pattern, with seams machine-stitched for strength and finished by hand where they show. The signature X is hand-stitched, the Houlès tassel hand-tied, the brass rosette turned and finished individually. A silk trim is finished around the shade — cut and sewn by hand in our own workshops. Subtle irregularities in stitching, drape or patina are the natural mark of handwork — they are what makes every wall light quietly unique.
Each wall light is finished with a tassel by Houlès — the Paris passementerie house founded in 1928. The tassel is hand-tied and attached individually to each wall light.

The Veil Silk Wall Light is made in a single size — a 40 cm silk shade — designed to sit in proportion on the wall whether mounted singly beside a mirror or headboard, or in a pair flanking a bed, sofa or fireplace.
A pair, mounted symmetrically, is the most characterful way to use them — the draped silhouette repeated across a wall.
The Veil Silk Wall Light mounts in two parts. A base fitting holding the light sources is screwed directly to the wall; the silk shade — hand-stretched over its own frame — then screws onto this base.
All necessary fixings are supplied.
Bulbs: 2 × E14 (not included). Compatible with standard LED bulbs. Recommended: LED at 2700 K (warm white) — for the warm, even glow the silk was designed to filter.
Installation: to be carried out by a qualified electrician. All necessary fittings are included; wall junction and wiring are the responsibility of the buyer.
Silk shade: dust gently with a soft brush. Do not use water, soap or chemical cleaners — they can permanently discolour or deform the silk. Silk shades are not suitable for washing or wet cleaning.
Lacquered Brass: dust with a soft cloth. The lacquer protects the surface from oxidation; no further care needed.
Unlacquered Brass: dust with a soft cloth. Patina will develop naturally. To restore the original golden tone, polish with a soft cloth and a brass cleaner. Avoid abrasive sponges.
Avoid placing the wall light in direct contact with steam (above showers, kettles or stovetops) — moisture can damage both silk and unlacquered brass.
